Shawna
Shawna’s love of animals started when she moved onto her childhood street. All her neighbors had dogs, cats, bunnies, or hamsters and in order for her to make friends she had to get over her fear of animals. Once she got over her fears, she started working her first job in 2011 at a doggy daycare. She would also dog-sit for her neighbors, friends and family members for when they needed her help. Once Shawna got older, she went from doggy daycares to customer service jobs. Her friends and family have always told Shawna she should have been in the animal field. Eventually she realized her passion was with animals. Shawna, who is a single mother, decided to apply for the Veterinary Assistant position at CVC and has been grateful for the opportunity ever since. Shawna’s confidence and knowledge is constantly growing in the field with the help and hands of Dr. Jones. When Shawna is not loving on your pets, she is enjoying time with her son, family, and friends. She loves to dance, have fun, and eat at different restaurants!
